About me
Christie Claymore is an actress and writer. Christie's first performance was at the age of 6, when she starred as the lead in her class play. Her first short story was published at the age of 12 in a book named, 'Stories From the Ice Storm'. As an athlete in her formative years, Christie wrote poetry and spent her most valued time filming and acting in her home-made comedy sketches using her parents' 1991 CCD-V101 Handycam Hi8 camcorder.Christie studied one semester of acting at Humber's Acting for Film and Television program. During Christie's time at Humber, her improvisation teacher Allan Guttman, suggested she should to go to The Second City.
Christie earned a certificate in Toronto, at the Intensive Improvisation Training Program at The Second City, Toronto and and graduated with a performance on The Second City main stage. One month later, she landed her first role during her first audition and co-starred in Spike TV's 'Blue Mountain State' and proceeded to co-star as Sunny on The Will, The Estate of Howard Hughes, and as Shannon on 'The Will, The Estate of Gary Coleman (Discovery/Mystery Ch.), modeled in the publicity posters for SyFy's 'Being Human, Season 2' and co-starred in one episode. Next, Christie was cast in the short film entitled 'The Race for Life'; It had its world premiere at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012, and subsequently at the 2012 ACTRA Short Film Festival. Christie was next cast as a Faustian runway model in the short film In Faustian Fashion in Montreal; part of a development (IN PRODUCTION, 2016), ECHELON. Christie then played the role of Megan, in the film My Guys, and subsequently as Kate, in the short film, Salamander; which was selected to screen at at the Concordia film festival in 2014.
Christie is simultaneously managing her son, Troy Michael Claymore's acting career. He has interest in working behind the scenes in cinema.
Christie is currently studying 1st and 2nd yr undergrad for creative writing at the University of Cambridge, Institute for continuing education.
