About me
After living in France, (where my love of performing first began) from 2003 to 2009, and then England from 2009 to 2011 to study performing arts at university, I have been combining work and travel. Only ever working where there is the possibility of adventure and experience. I have had many different experiences and adventures in my work and on my travels, ranging from taking care of six month old twins to training at the Shaolin Temple. In the last two years I have Travelled the great state of California, worked as a dancer/performer in Disney Paris, tried to steer clear of the tourism in Thailand, played guitar on the streets of Hamburg, and been back and fourth between the U.K. and France. My latest adventure abroad, has been to teach English to children in Chinas Hunan province for ten months. I feel these experiences as well as professional training in several disciplines, has helped shaped me as a performer. I feel that I am confident enough, to take on almost any role.Skills

Highlights
-
I have been dancing since I was 16, learning various different styles from different teachers. I had jazz, ballet and tap classes while studying performing arts at University for two years. And in 2011 was employed by Disneyland Paris to dance and perform in their parades. Unfortunately since then I have not been able to do as much dance as I would like, but have been keeping fit with Martial arts training. As I am now based in Birmingham I have re-stared my dance classes at the dance exchange.

I have modelled for a couple of photographers both of whom worked in different styles. At sixteen I worked with a France based photographer, Cormac Hanley. He was very interested in "non commercial" style pieces. Anything with a dark and bizarre twist, that was his style. This style required me to often pose for long periods of time in awkward and uncomfortable positions. Other times it was portrait shots, for sport style and nature based shots.
Much more recently I have worked with a photographer who liked to capture natural positions. We would talk and he would shoot. He was also very interested in his models wearing "whacky" clothing or holding different objects or playing instruments, the whole time paying little or no attention to the camera.
I was paid by both photographers, for each shoot I did. -
In 2004 I joined an amateur theatre company based in France: Encore Theatre Company. I performed in two of their shows. In the first I played the young King Louis VII, a crusader and Prince Geoffrey Plantagenet in their production of "Eleanor", an original musical based on the life of Eleanor of Aquitaine, and second performance with the company was in "Broadway and Fifith", where I played an up and coming rock n roll star.
In 2009 I applied for and was accepted by the University of Gloucester to study for a BA in Performing Arts. A practical based course in acting, dancing and singing that also included: Stage combat (hand to hand), Commedia Dell’arte, improvisation and character acting. My roles included: Nicholas, Lord Verisopht, Mr Whititerly in Nicholas Nickleby, Claude the Crocodile in Petite Rouge and Silvius in Shakespeares As you like it.
I was also involved in a local theatre company, Focus Theatre and performed in The Hired Man as Harry and part of the chorus and Closer than Ever (chorus). To build experience, during the course, we were encouraged by our tutors to become involved with teaching at local schools and groups including: Star College – dance and theatre for young adults with special needs, St Peter’s and Widden Primary schools – devised art literature theatre for children.
In 2011 I auditioned for Disneyland Paris and was hired for the winter season as a character/parade performer, strictly adhering to Disney’s rigorous rules and performing procedures, whilst maintaining a sunny disposition and the professionalism associated with the Disney brand. I was Offered a second contract but chose to not take it as I was auditioning for several other jobs at the time.
In May 2012 went to Hamburg for a month. Busking on the Reeperbahn. A grand experience while waiting to go to China to teach English and learn Martial arts.
My most recent roles were performing in a seven week Pantomime tour of Beauty and the Beast, for The Little English Theatre Company. In the show I played three characters: the dim yet loveable Town Crier, the arrogant and selfish Prince Slendertone and the title role of the fearsome Beast. The all singing, all dancing, all round classic panto performance was performed to theatres, hotels and schools in the West Midlands, Avon and Gloucestershire. During the tour I also performed in a murder mystery for Murder on the Side's “Downtown Abbey”, where I played the ever repressed butler Lhym and the foppish Matthew. Both productions were well received and reviewed.
