About me
Last year I joined the National Youth Theatre which was a major catalyst for recalibrating my life more firmly in the direction of acting and theatre making. I have since worked steadily on projects across theatre, screen, comedy and writing. As a member of the Arcola Women's Company I most recently performed in our inaugural production 'Smile, Darling', which was entirely written and devised by the company.Through Acting I discovered a pull towards being in spaces with people forming connections, working with feeling and coming together to make something.
I am an active, adventurous person and strongly believe in the importance of a positive, proactive attitude and approach. I enjoy working in environments that require you to be adaptable and open minded. I love being challenged and working hard at something I believe in.
Additional skills:

Additional information:
NYT encouraged me begin writing my own one woman show. It explores the idea of concealed actual selves versus projected public identity and why we edit that persona. I feel great gratification at giving myself agency as an actor and something to get my teeth into.
Focusing more on writing and taking a course with Beth Vyse led me to perform a 15 minute extract at Camden Comedy Club. I have since taken part in several stand up gigs and established a keen interest in comedy.
I recently helped to curate 'Global Female Voices', an Arcola Women's Company event for their Creative/Disruption Festival which staged play extracts from international female writers. I directed Stella Kon's 'Emily of Emerald Hill' which follows Singapore Nonya Emily Gan in the bittersweet reflection of her life.
This year I took part in a three day Boundless Theatre R&D with a small group of young women, Director Bryony Shanahan, Movement Director Jennifer Jackson and Charlotte Josephine to explore and present new material by the Playwright. The piece is resolutely a voice for women and allowed us to be ugly, sweaty, angry and unapologetic, a side of theatre and performance I relish and hope to work more in.
I will be playing the lead in two upcoming short films from emerging directors.
To broaden my skill set and keep my acting muscle exercised, I attend courses and workshops with Mono Box, The Pappy Show, WoLab and the National Theatre.
I have an appetite and enthusiasm for Theatre that forges paths in form and performance and spend most of my free time seeing shows in London. I am excited by work that has something to say and confronts audience expectations.
