About me
I am an English Student at the University of Liverpool and the ability to pick apart a text and read between the lines means that I can convey an original, powerful performance. I have performed in many Renaissance plays and Comedies of Manners; texts with complex characters that I enjoy spending time deeply exploring to create an enjoyable performance. The complex linguistic conventions of some of these genres I have mastered and feel comfortable doing, showing my prowess at learning, picking apart and interpreting the meaning of a characters' lines. I possess boundless energy that translates into effortless stage or screen presence. This works excellently for intense pieces and for fast-paced comedy. Having written my own sketch comedy for sketch comedy troupes, I have picked up a good sense of comedic timing and pacing. This has also given me an insight into building characters from the ground up, meaning that I can focus on a character to pick out each individual quirk and create an original performance of characters new or timeless.Additional skills:
I sing baritone and bass parts and I can play the guitar. I have ten years of competitive gymnastics under my belt and I am a qualified gymnastics coach. As well as naturalistic performances, I am interested in physical theatre, which my gymnastics informs greatly.
Additional information:
I have experience on Student Film and would like to get more work on camera in order to develop my show reel. I have a lot of experience in many different theatre productions under my belt. I am still in the process of learning to drive however I can commute to my jobs.
