About me

In 2000, 10 year-old Jackie experienced his first notable role in a primary school nativity play as Saint Peter. Whilst trying to stay awake in the Garden of Gethsemane, young Jackie noticed that the audience, filled with parents of other children and teachers, were silently praising him amongst themselves. This was the moment when he realised what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

Since that day Jackie has driven his passion for acting through college and is now currently studying his final year in a BA (Hons) degree in Acting in UCLan.

Jackie was born and raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire to Chinese parents whom migrated into Britain during the early 70's. With a life-long passion for acting, Jackie strives to excell in his art and raise awareness for the British-Chinese community.

Additional Information

His on-screen favorites include Robert DeNiro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Al Pacino, Christian Bale, including Hong Kong actors Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Stephen Chow and Chow Yun-Fat. Some of his favorite directors include Martin Scorceses, Wong Kar-Wai, the Coen Bros., John Woo and Hayao Miyazaki. Jackie Chan belongs in both catagories.

Additional Skills

Jackie has been fully trained in acting for the theatre space and infront of camera, the latter which his passion for acting is drawn towards. His training has exposed him to the teachings of Vsevolod Meyerholds 'Biomechanics', Acting for the Camera by Phillip Wood, radio techniques and Dr. Susana Blochs 'Alba Emoting'. Other skills include some Martial Arts (Hung Kuen Kung Fu and 6th kyu in Tang Soo Do), is a strong swimmer, strong singer, amateur acoustic guitar and bass guitar player and a full clean drivers license.
