About me
I am a British actress originally from Wiltshire working in theatre, film, television and voice-overs. I am most drawn to powerful and thought provoking work that works towards social change. I enjoy playing challenging characters. I am most excited by ideas and discussions surrounding "what it is to be human and the human experience" . I grew up on Military bases and studied aboard for most of my childhood. On returning to the UK I moved to London where I obtain a degree in Performing Arts from London Metropolitan University. Proceeding this I went on to form Metra Theatre Company and later took up formal acting training at The Oxford School of Drama under Scholarship. I am highly creative and playful with strong movement/physical theatre skills; enjoying improvisation/devising and research projects greatly!Additional skills:
Strong Swimmer including open-water and diving, Yoga, Dance-Disco, period social dancing, Physical Theatre, Improvisation.

“Josephine Rogers gives a captivating performance as Donna St Laurent, the newly employed barmaid at Meehan’s. You can’t take your eyes off her when she’s on stage and has an acting ability that comes as naturally as breathing” The Verdict UK Tour 2019

"Striking performance throughout from Josephine Rogers"- Camden New Journal in Qudz at The Yard/ National Theatre Studio.
Took the lead in The world premiere of 'The Quick' by Stephanie Jacob at Tristan Bates Theatre.
"the most impressive thing in this production is Josephine Rogers' central performance. She's a wiry, twitchy sparrow of a thug, barcoded for hardness by blue tattoos. Her whole body is twisted into the wreckage of her character and yet her face has radiant beauty too. Behind the scowling front thereis vulnerability and even tenderness." TIMEOUT**** CRITICS CHOICE

"the three sisters are embodied as you have never seen them before, alive and contemporary they jump out of the four square walls of text Chekhov gave them and give the characters warmth, vulnerability and new life." - Skye Crawford, Fringe Review.
Reference
"In just three days before a partially staged reading of my play, Josephine Rogers totally inhabited the female lead role, immersing herself in the research. An actor with both emotional intelligence and courage." Paul Mason, Writer/ Journalist
