About me
I'm Katie and I am passionate and enthusiastic about acting. I have just finished my BA Hons Degree in Performing Arts where I gained a 2:1 degree. The bulk of my experience has been tied in with my education and I have performed in many prestigious theaters across the north west. I have recently just finished working with Bolton's Octagon Theatre artistic director David Thacker. I now wish to gain more professional experience and grow as a performer. I have many skills and talents that are required in this industry and though I have a lack of professional experience, in no way do this show in my work ethic and attitude. I wish nothing more than to 'get my foot in the door' if given the chance.Skills

Highlights
-
At present, I have completed my BA Hons degree in Performing Arts where I gained a 2:1. I spent a year working at Bolton's Octagon Theatre, where I have been a workshop leader and facilitator for the youth theatre program that is currently running there. Due to my previous experience in theatre, this was an environment I thrived in and I was also given amazing opportunities to work with the theatres artistic director, David Thacker. Here, I learned unmatched acting skills and techniques through his guidance. I have also had intensive acting workshops with the Octagon Theatres current actors and actresses, which has given me an insight into the professional business.
The bulk of my experiences has been tied in with my training and I have performed in many prestigious theatres across the north west including The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and the Lowry Theatre in Salford. I have participated in a wide range of theatre, street theatre and TIE.
Most recently, I have been involved in a variety of short films and played a range of characters. All credits can be found on my profile.
