About me

Laura Hills-Leigh (also Laura Hill) is a 26 year old actor and singer based in Lancaster and around the North West. She has a degree in BA(hons) Acting from UCLAN University, and has been working in the industry since she graduated in 2012. Laura is a member of Equity and has a profile on Spotlight (view PIN 3416-7861-9128). Laura is always on the look out for new opportunities to express her strong creative flair.

Laura frequently performs in school workshops, children's events, interactive performance and medical roleplay work. Most of Laura's work includes live interactive character work and site specific or immersive performance. Laura has a particular passion for this type of work and enjoys the connection it allows with the audience.

Laura runs her own school workshop company, Imagining History, where she performs a variety of educating and entertaining history workshops to KS2 children in schools throughout the country. She often performs as 'living history' characters at a variety of museum events; previous venues include Astley Hall, the Harris Museum and Bury Transport Museum.

She frequently performs in themed children's entertainment and parties across the North West and has also previously performed in fun days for children at East Lancs Railway with Attic Door Productions - performing in various different roles, most notably Elsa from Frozen. Her past work also includes roles in numerous themed murder mystery events.

Laura has recently performed in various family promenade productions, including Alice in Wonderland and Wind in the Willows. She also performed in The Play's The Thing, a Shakespearean comedy dinner show, as a part of The Beach Shakespeare Festival 2016.

‚ÄčLaura has a strong passion for fringe theatre and, in the past, has assisted with the development of new writing; challenging a fresh script and helping to develop character. In particular with Theatre by Numbers on their Chosen Words project. Laura also co-devised and co-directed her own play, Extreme Withdrawal Is Manifest which was performed at fringe venues throughout the North West and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 with great success.

Laura also has a lot of experience in front of the camera, performing in a variety of shorts, feature and student films.
