Channel M

Channel m began broadcasting on 14th February 2000. It is a dedicated service broadcasting throughout Greater Manchester.

From November 2003 the channel was awarded a further four year restricted service licence (RSL), to broadcast free-to-air on existing television aerials on channel 39 and is now available on NTL digital cable network on channel 878.

A wholly owned subsidiary of the Guardian Media Group, Channel m has strong partnership ties with CHUM Television International of Canada and the International Media Centre of Salford University.
